Around Town: A Christmas Gift Market

A Christmas Gift Market - Shop Local Calgary Artisans

So I said “yes” to a thing. And it might have seemed a bit crazy to do it… I took on the task of being market manager for two Christmas markets with YYC Growers. You know, nothing like organizing markets in just 2.5 weeks!

But honestly it’s been really satisfying to work on. My kinda of challenge. And I can’t wait to meet all the vendors!  Here’s what I’ve got planned for THIS Saturday at the first market:

Plus, there will be worskhops! YES!! Super excited for these! Make sure to get your tickets quick, as they are designed for small groups. There is a Rolled Candle Workshop by Lisa of YYC Beeswax, where you’ll make two types of rolled beeswax candles – a set of tapers and a fun beehive – while also learning about bees and beeswax.

And I’m thrilled to announce that I will lead my first essentials oils workshop, The Oily Life! While I have always been on the learning end of things or just writing online tutorials, I’m looking forward to instructing in person. You’ll get to learn how to incorporate essential oils into your daily life with three basic projects: a roll-on, a room spray, and two bath soaks.

Make sure to come check it all out! Dec. 7th 10-4 at the YYC Growers Warehouse {#18, 4750 106 Ave. S.E}. And stay tuned for more details on the second market later in the month. Yep, another good one!
