So I said “yes” to a thing. And it might have seemed a bit crazy to do it… I took on the task of being market manager for two Christmas markets with YYC Growers. You know, nothing like organizing markets in just 2.5 weeks!

I’ve got to admit, I don’t get to sneak away for a warm soak in the bath tub too often. Even when I do, Mister Sam typically comes to “check” on me and conveniently brings a book along to read {he plunks himself down on the floor of the bathroom waiting for me to finish}. But even on those occasions, I get to enjoy a soak in some homemade bath salts or a milk bath mix. We keep a variety of ones on hand, stored in mason jars. Now that I think about it, it’s really Sam who gets the most use out of these, since I tend to sneak them into his regular bath. They make great gifts though too! So join me for a little DIY bath treat mixing!
Oh man, I used to buy such a lovely milk bath mixture, but then the shop changed their recipe & it was much less lovely. Anyway, I’d sort of forgotten about how enjoyable milk baths were, until I started diving more into this whole DIY bath & beauty using essential oils. There’s lots of great recipes online, as it turns out, but I thought I would post my version to share with you. Tweak it as you like, to get the results & scent you adore.
Today I’ve got three great essential oil roll-on recipes to share: PMS Wellness {to help balance emotions}, Winter Wellness {to help boost immune systems}, and Chill Out {to, obviously, help you chill & relax}. Once again, all these recipes are courtesy of my generous oils friend, Jan DuMontier.
This week I’m sharing some simple DIY gift ideas using essential oils. All the recipes are thanks to my oils guru, Jan DuMontier. She continues to teach me so much about how to incorporate essential oils into my daily life and I’m thankful for her genuine interest in my wellbeing and the wellness of my family.
I’ll be sharing inspiration for some DIY Christmas gifts, using essential oils & some simple ingredients, this week.
Each year we pack up several shoe boxes to donate to Operation Christmas Child. We started this tradition well before Sammy was born, knowing how much these gifts would be appreciated by a child in a developing country. Now as a mother, these shoe boxes have come to mean a whole lot more. They are HOPE. Hope for a child, for his siblings, for his friends, and community. One shoe box isn’t just Christmas gifts for a single child, for a single year. It is LOVE in box that has the potential to spread from one child, to a whole community.
